Andrew Overby

Mr. Andrew "Andy" Overby, age 89 of Elkton, passed away on Saturday morning, January 23, 2016 at the Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee of natural causes.

He was born September 12, 1926 in Hadensville, Kentucky the son of the late Ellis Ray and Sue Brown Overby.  He was retired as a Sergeant in the United States Army where he fought in WWII.  He also served in the United States Navy.  He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and he attended Western Kentucky University.  He loved his country and Todd County.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by three sons Andrew Overby Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, James Overby of Provo, Utah and David Overby of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister Joanne Overby Doyle of Richmond, Virginia and two granddaughters.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday morning, January 28th at 11:00 at the Todd County Meadow Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terry Joiner officiating.
