Danny Floyd

Mr. Danny Floyd, age 62 of the Stringtown Community, passed away on Friday evening August 14^th at the Hearthstone Place Nursing Home in Elkton of natural causes.

He was born February 27, 1953 in Monticello, Kentucky the son of Marvin and Mary Piercy Floyd Sr.  He was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church.  He loved playing music, singing, tractor pulling and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his father Marvin Floyd Sr. and one brother Marvin Floyd Jr.  He is survived by his wife Helen Floyd of the Stringtown Community, his mother Mary Floyd of Elkton; two daughters Casandra Powell of Elkton and Danielle Minton of Guthrie; two brothers James Floyd of Hopkinsville and Robert Lee Floyd of Fairview; three sisters Linda Buck of Monticello, Kentucky, Brenda Noel of Fairview and Elizabeth Mayes of Elkton and five grandchildren.

Visitation with the Floyd family will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Rev. J.W. Durst officiating.  Interment will follow at the Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
