Frank Alton Wheeler

Mr. Frank “Alton” Wheeler, age 84 of Elkton, passed away on Monday morning August 10^th at his home of natural causes.

He was born October 11, 1930 in Todd County, Kentucky the son of the late Roy and Ola Groves Wheeler.  He was a Baptist by faith.  He loved baseball, UK basketball and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his first wife Martha Pitts; three brothers Charles, Jimmy and Morris Wheeler and one sister Dorothy Laster.  He is survived by one son Alton Wheeler of North Carolina; five daughters Sandy Settle of Clifty, Gayle Blakely of Hopkinsville, Deborah Brinkley of North Carolina, Shawna Wheeler of Illinois and Dawn Wiles of Sharon Grove; one sister Sue Clark of Illinois; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation with the Wheeler family will be on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Joseph Carter officiating.  Interment will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Elkton.
