Mr. Gerald Dalton Johnson, age 83 of Allensville, passed away on Tuesday evening August 12th at 10:35 at his home of natural causes. Mr. Johnson was born June 18, 1931 in Providence, Kentucky the son of the late Robert and Ruby Johnson. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Providence, Kentucky. He served in the United States Army where he was a Korean War Veteran and he was also a retired Lieutenant with Kentucky State Police where he served as a State Trooper for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one step daughter Judy Smith and two brothers Harold Lee and Kenneth Johnson. He is survived by his wife Nancy Johnson of Allensville; two step sons C.C. Chapman III of Clarksville, Tennessee and Thomas D. Chapman of Allensville and six step grandchildren. There will be a graveside service on Saturday afternoon August 16th at 1:00 at the White Oak Church Cemetery in Clay, Kentucky with Shane Hessey officiating.
