Ms. Gladys Maner Cain, age 95 of Nashville, passed away on Monday morning, August 22, 2016 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee of natural causes.
She was born August 17, 1921 in Knoxville, Tennessee the daughter of the late Buford Alonzo and Sarah Huskey Maner. She was a member of the Trenton Presbyterian Church. She loved her family, cooking, canning and was known for her red Halloween popcorn balls.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Tom Cain; one son Tom Cain Jr.; one brother Leeman Carroll Maner and two sisters Mary Ruth Armstrong and Lois Maner Parker. She is survived by one daughter Ann Cain Batson of Nashville; one brother Dr. B.A. Maner of Maryville, Tennessee; one sister Betty Maner Barnes of Hixson, Tennessee; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Cain family will be on Wednesday from 11:00 until 1:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 in the chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Rev. John Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
