Harvey Statton, Jr.

Mr. Harvey Statton Jr., age 84 of Sharon Grove, passed away on Thursday evening, August 25, 2016 at his home of natural causes.

He was born April 25, 1932 in Todd County, Kentucky the son of the late William Harvey and Edna Norman Statton.  He was a member of the Sharon Grove Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years at the Antioch Baptist Church.  He served in the United States Army and was in the Korean War.  He loved his family, hunting, fishing and riding 4-wheelers.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Barbara Ann Key Statton; two daughters Pamela and Melanie Statton; one brother Billy Statton and one sister Carolyn Statton.  He is survived by one son Chris Statton of Russellville; two daughters Stephanie McKinney of Lewisburg and Angie Statton of Elkton and one sister Betty Ann White of Sharon Grove.  Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Statton family will be on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Monday afternoon at 3:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Skipworth and Bradley McKinney officiating.  Interment will follow at the Gant Cemetery in Sharon Grove.
