Mrs. Hattie Elvira Graham “Granny”, age 87 of Guthrie, passed away on Thursday evening, August 4, 2016 at the Clarksville Nursing & Rehab in Clarksville, Tennessee of natural causes.
She was born January 9, 1929 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jamie and Katie Petrie Mimms. She was a member of Mt. Zion CME Church in Guthrie. She served on the Missionary Society, Stewardesses Board, Usher Board and was a member of the Kentucky Colonels. She loved her family, cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband George Graham Sr.; one daughter Margaret Fedderman; four brothers Charles T., George, Horace and John Mimms and three sisters Mildred Andrews, Louise Chestnut and Hazel Manion and one great-great granddaughter Raelyn Henry. She is survived by three sons Cyrus Graham (Linda) of Guthrie, George Graham Jr. (Frances) of Bowling Green and Larry Graham (Leslie) of Nashville; three daughters Beverly Wells (Charles) of Guthrie, Marie Phillips of Guthrie and Jeannetta Johnson (Victor) of Guthrie; one brother William Frazier Mimms Sr. (Ophelia) of Guthrie; three sisters in law Louise Mimms of Muskegon, Michigan, Marie Mimms of St. Louis, Missouri and Darlene Mimms of Louisville, Kentucky. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Graham family will be on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday morning at 11:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Tammy Acree officiating. Interment will follow at the Todd County Meadow Haven.
