Mrs. Hazel Lucille Sanders, age 84 of Guthrie, passed away on Thursday afternoon April 2nd at her home of natural causes.
She was born May 12, 1930 in Earlington, KY the daughter of the late William Henry and Cannie Burns Walton. She was a member of Saint Mary & Saint James Catholic Church and she loved gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Joseph W. Sanders and her son Joseph C. Sanders. She is survived by three daughters Mary Boisseau, Victoria O’Bryan and Mary Jo Lyons all of Guthrie; one brother Earnest Walton of California; one sister Mageline Bach of Utah; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Sanders family will be on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday evening at 4:00 at the Guthrie Transportation Museum, 218 South Ewing St., Guthrie, Kentucky with Father Frank Ruff officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
