Mrs. Lillian Jean Poor, age 83 of Hopkinsville and formerly of Guthrie, passed away on Friday November 27th at the Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee of natural causes.
She was born June 7, 1932 in Adams, Tennessee the daughter of the late John I. and Lois H. McNeil Bourne Sr. She was a member of the Tiny Town Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Arthur J. Poor; one daughter Tempie Lynn Free; three brothers Buford, Donald and Wayne Bourne and one sister Margaret Downing. She is survived by one son John Richard Poor of Guthrie; two daughters Rebecca Joy Poor of Guthrie and Jackie Downey (David) of Clarksville and one brother John Bourne Jr. of Adams, Tennessee. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Poor family will be on Sunday from 3:00 until funeral service time at 6:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday evening at 6:00 in the Chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Doug Downing and Buck Tidwell officiating. There will be a private burial on Monday morning at 11:00 at the Bellwood Cemetery in Adams, Tennessee.
