John "Big John" S. Boyles Jr.

Mr. John “Big John” Boyles Jr., age 70 of Guthrie, passed away on Saturday afternoon, July 23, 2016 at the Hearthstone Place Nursing Home in Elkton of natural causes.

He was born March 9, 1946 in Clarksville, Tennessee the son of the late Dr. John Boyles Sr. and Jimmie Reeves Boyles.  He was a retired Church of Christ minister and he loved fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Jennifer Boyles.  He is survived by two brothers Bob Boyles of Guthrie and Mike Boyles of Indianapolis, Indiana as well as one sister Bonnie McCoy of Delaware, Ohio.

Visitation with the Boyles family will be on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home.  Memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 7:00 in the chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Buddy Brooks officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be given to a charity of your choice.
