Owen Wells

Mr. Owen Wells, age 81 of Elkton, passed away on Friday evening, April 7, 2017 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

He was born July 3, 1935 in Muhlenberg, Kentucky the son of the late Boss and Carrie Lear Wells.  He was a member of Emberry Church.  He loved being outdoors especially working in his yard and he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as three brothers P.H. Wells, Willie Wells and Lloyd Wells and three sisters Maltie Grace, Ruthelle Allison and Glennie Sigers.  He is survived by his wife Peggy Wells of Elkton; one son Johnny Wells of Hopkinsville; two daughters Rhonda Mitchell of Kirkmansville and Lisa Henderson of Hopkinsville; thirteen grandchildren and twenty -two great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Wells family will be on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Monday afternoon at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Skipworth officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hale Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
