Pauline Leavell

Mrs. Pauline Leavell, age 74 of Guthrie, passed away on Sunday afternoon August 31st of natural causes.

Mrs. Leavell was born March 5, 1940 in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee the daughter of the late William Lee “Earl” and Mary Lee Ray Whittaker.  She was a member of the Tiny Town Baptist Church and retired from Ardco where she worked for 33 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as three sisters Lorene Gibson, Christine Farmer and Katherine Sue Shumake.  She is survived by her husband Douglas Leavell of Guthrie; one son Douglas Wayne Leavell of Cedar Hill, Tennessee; three daughters Debora Sue Davenport of Clarksville, Tennessee, Pamela Leigh Redfern of Elkton and Patrica Gail Turgeon of Guthrie; two brothers Harold Dean Whittaker of Guthrie and Jerry Wayne Whittaker of Allensville; two sisters Eva Jean Taylor of Cedar Hill, Tennessee and Irene Kirby of Nashville, Tennessee; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Leavell family will be on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 and again on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 until funeral service time at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home.  Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 in the Chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Bro. Buck Tidwell officiating.  Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
