Mr. Wallace Mauk, age 82 of the Stringtown Community, passed away on Sunday morning, April 24, 2016 at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
He was born August 23, 1933 in Seco, Kentucky the son of the late William H. and Ida Ward Mauk. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a Kentucky Colonel and he loved woodworking and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one brother Mitchell Mauk. He is survived by his wife Sandra Mauk of Stringtown; two sons Kelvin Mauk of RAF Mildenhall, England and Kenny Mauk of Houston, Texas; one brother Doug Mauk of Easley, South Carolina; one sister Anna Sue Sims of Debary, Florida and two grandchildren.
Visitation with the Mauk family will be on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Friday at 11:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
