Wayne Hewell

December 31, 1947 ~ May 9, 2017 (age 69) 69 Years Old


Mr. Wayne Hewell, age 69 of Clarksville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, May 9, 2017 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville of natural causes.

 

He was born December 31, 1947 in Clarksville, Tennessee the son of James A. and Mary Frances Smith Hewell.  He attended the First Baptist Kirkwood in Clarksville.  He was retired from the American General Life Insurance Company and was the current store manager for Mattress Firm in Clarksville.  Wayne was co-founder of Project GG Ministries which supports world medical missions around the world.  He loved his family and friends.  Mr. Hewell’s last words was I love everyone.

 

He was preceded in death by his father James Hewell.  He is survived by his wife Sherry Hewell of Clarksville; one daughter Courtney Sagar (Ronnie) of Clarksville; his mother Mary Hewell of Guthrie and three grandchildren.

 

Visitation with the Hewell family will be on Saturday from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 with Cal Hampton officiating.  Visitation and funeral will be at the Guthrie Baptist Church, 217 W. Park Street, Guthrie, Kentucky.  Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
