Mr. William “Bill” E. Johnson Sr., age 73 of Elkton, passed away on Friday afternoon, April 29, 2016 at his home of natural causes.
He was born November 21, 1942 in Lakeland, Florida the son of the late Ejner William and Elinor Galloway Johnson. He was a member of the Petrie Memorial UMC in Elkton. He retired after 30 years from Singer-Link Division and worked 5 years at White Hydraulics. He loved and had great enthusiasm for aviation especially vintage airplanes.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sandra Johnson of Elkton; one son William E. Johnson Jr. (Delinda) of Elkton; two daughters Kim Johnson of Auburn and Shelly DiMatties (Jeffrey) of Hopkinsville and four grandchildren William E. Johnson III, Julia Johnson, Nicole and Caralyn DiMatties.
Visitation with the Johnson family will be on Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Beam and Rev. Jeffrey DiMatties officiating. Interment will follow at the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton.
