The Cook-Webb Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Ms. Frances Wood-Foster.
Ms. Foster, age 75 of Guthrie, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 9th. She passed away at the Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Frances was born on February 20, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana, daughter of the late Paul and Nellie O. Kroeger Wood.
She was a member of the Tiny Town Baptist Church, where she served as Church Clerk, WMU Leader, Mission Director and Ladies Sunday School Teacher. She retired after twenty-seven years from Wal-Mart in Clarksville, Tennessee. Frances loved her family and friends. Being called "Nana" was a blessing to her.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Nellie Kroeger Wood; one daughter, Kristie Michelle Foster Mixon; one brother, Paul Eugene Wood Jr. and one sister, Kathy Kopp. She is survived by one son, Scottie Franklin Foster of Guthrie; one sister, Joyce Ann Harris of Rockport, Indiana and two grandchildren, Lucas O. Mixon and Lauren O. Mixon. Also survived by the families of Stan Peacher and Mike Teague.
Visitation with the Foster family will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Tiny Town Baptist Church. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, January 13th at 11:00 in the Sanctuary of the Tiny Town Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Dukes officiating. Interment to follow at the Highland Cemetery.
