Beatrice “Nanny” Petty, age 97 of Nashville, passed away on Wednesday December 4th at the Bethany Health Care Center in Nashville.
She was born August 30, 1922 in Smith County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Isham and Georgia Beal Earps. She was a charter member of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville. She had a deep love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Clyve Petty; one grandson Greg Jenkins; three brothers Ray Allen, C.D. and Cordell Earps and three sisters Louise Robinson, Wilma Dean Earps and Roberta Estelle Petty. She is survived by two daughters Faye Jenkins of Nashville and Shirley Dillard (Key) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; three sisters Hilda Jean Williams of Smyrna, Frances Williams of Nashville and Alice Hubbard of Franklin, Kentucky; three grandchildren Jeff Jenkins, Kris Dillard and Dr. Kevin Dillard as well as six great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Petty family will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 5208 Nolensville Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37211. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 at the church with Shane Hessey officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
