Mr. Cleotis “Bill” Wells, age 75 of Clifty, passed away on Friday, September 6th at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville due to an accident at his home.
He was born January 16, 1944 in Todd County, Kentucky the son of the late Estell and Vernie Mayes Wells.
He was a member of Landmark Assembly of God in Greenville and he loved his family, camping, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as two brothers Cletis and Augustus Wells. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Betsy Wells of Clifty; two sons Rodney Wells of Kirkmansville and Timmy Wells of Clifty; one daughter Lawanda Sumner (Anthony) of Lewisburg; one brother Bobby Mayes of Alabama; two sisters Helen Jones of Kirkmansville and Bunnie Hightower of Crofton; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Wells family will be on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at the Landmark Cemetery.
