Barbara Louise Wells

Barbara Louise Wells, of Russellville, KY, was affectionately known as "Babby." She departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY surrounded by her two children.

She was born on May 2, 1955 in Russellville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James and Bernice Hines Holman.

Barbara was employed at Red Kap Industries for 28 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Russellville, Kentucky.

Babby's greatest joy was her two children. She especially enjoyed traveling to watch her son, Bubba, play basketball throughout his career. Later in life, that joy transcended to spending time with her grandchildren. She loved sitting on the porch and talking on the phone daily to her sister and friends. She also loved to take trips with friends to the local casinos. Her quick wit and laughter will be missed by all those who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers: William Holman, James Holman Jr., Robert Holman, and Oral Meneese.

She is survived by her son, Charles “Bubba” (Tracee) Wells of Belleville, Illinois; a daughter, LaShauna Wells of Russellville, Kentucky; a devoted, loving sister, Virginia (Billy) Johnson of Killeen, Texas; three granddaughters, Alyiah Wells, Alexsa Boyd and Alaysia Troxler; two grandsons, Adarian Boyd and Chase Wells; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Holman of Franklin, Kentucky and Cherri Meneese of Adairville, Kentucky. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including a devoted niece, Angela Duncan.

Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Graveside service will be on Monday at 11:00 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Russellville with Rev. Sammy Spencer officiating.
