Betsy Pippin, age 86 of Guthrie, passed away on Monday, June 15th at the Ahava Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee of natural causes.
She was born August 12, 1933 in Guthrie, Kentucky the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Rosson Paine.
She was a member of Tiny Town Baptist Church, loved her family, reading and sending cards.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Roy F. Pippin (2010); a son Lowry Harper and two brothers Tom and Bill Paine. She is survived by a son Roy “Tiny” Pippin Jr. of Cedar Hill, Tennessee; six daughters Lisa Welborn of Adams, Elizabeth Bohannon of West Palm Beach, Florida, Valarie Holt of Stroudsville, Tennessee, Dawn Coleman of Springfield, Tennessee, Sheryl Spurlock of Cedar Hill, Tennessee and Diane Crabtree of Barren Plains, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Pippin family will be on Friday, June 19th from 11:00 until funeral service time at 1:00 in the Chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Rev. Kimbrough Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) there will be limited capacity. It is required that if you attend the visitation or service that you wear a mask and refrain from shaking hands and hugging as well as social distancing and keeping six feet apart.
