Danny Higgins, age 78 of Elkton, passed away on Sunday, May 17th at his home of natural causes.
He was born July 1, 1941 in Todd County, Kentucky the son of the late Ernest E. and Imogene Dunn Higgins.
He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. He was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture and was a retired farmer. He loved his family, cattle trading, gardening and tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Dianne Higgins of Elkton; three daughters Kimberly Sears (David) of Allegre, Cherie Morris (Mitch) and Brandi Higgins (Coty) both of Elkton; one sister Rita Barber of Allegre; three grandchildren Dusty Reed (Quincy) of Woodlawn, Tennessee, Logan Powell (Greer) of Elkton and Daniel Kailoha Higginsdraper of Elkton; two step grandchildren Mitchell Morris of Bowling Green and Micah Morris of Hopkinsville and two great grandchildren Kane Reed and Tucker Peck.
Visitation with the Higgins family will be on Wednesday from 10:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home with a limited capacity. The funeral service is private. Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) it is required that if you attend the visitation you wear a mask and refrain from shaking hands and hugging as well as social distancing and keeping six feet apart.
