Doris Jean Andrews

Ms. Doris Jean Andrews, age 79 of Elkton, passed away Friday morning October 9th at 6:00 at the Hearthstone Nursing Home in Elkton of natural causes.

Ms. Andrews was born June 13, 1941 in Todd County, Kentucky daughter of the late James Coleman Hightower and Violet Beasley.  She was Catholic by faith, loved her family, singing, playing guitar, the organ and crocheting. 

Ms. Andrews was preceded in death by her parent’s as well one son Tommy Heath.  She is survived by one son Jason Cook of Washington State, two daughters Amanda Finley of Oklahoma and Tracey Heath of Washington, State.  Two brothers Steve Hightower of Atlanta, Georgia and Mike Hightower of Elkton.  Four sisters Janet Yoder, Susie Ferreira and Sandy Solomon all of Elkton as well as Carol Smith of Clarksville.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 

The family has chosen cremation and there will not be any public services.  In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home.  Todd County Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
