Herbert "Herb" Buckman

Herbert “Herb” S. Buckman, age 90 of Elkton, passed away on Thursday, November 19^th at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, Kentucky of natural causes.

He was born July 23, 1930 in Union County, Kentucky the son of the late Frank and Anna Smith Buckman.

He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed spending time with his Mennonite friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Buckman and grandson, Tony Piper. He is survived by six sons, Barry, Herbert A., Billy and Dale Lee Buckman all of Henderson, Marty Buckman of Clay, Kentucky and Danny Crowley of Elkton; four daughters, Barbara Gatewood and Judy Smith both of Henderson, Jenney Lou Rust and Vickie Pierce both of Uniontown, Kentucky and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private funeral service on Sunday at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home in Elkton with Reverend Jerry Sweeney officiating. Interment will follow at the Bivins Cemetery in Clifty.

Due to the new guidelines set forth by Governor Beshear only 25 people will be allowed. Mask are required, as well as social distancing and no hugging or shaking hands.
