James Kenneth Bland, age 78 of Allensville, passed away on Monday, September 21st at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born July 27, 1942 in Allensville, Kentucky the son of the late James Rufus and Margaret Arms Bland.
He was a member of Allensville Church of Christ and attended Adams Church of Christ. He retired from Emerson Electric and farming. He enjoyed being outdoors, general physical exercise and woodworking.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Wayne Bland. He is survived by three sons Kenny Bland of Katy, Texas, Jeff Bland of Cedar Hill, Tennessee and Keith and Sylvia Bland of Fallbrook, California; sister Debbie Williams of Allensville; grandchildren Kyle and Sydney Bland; longtime companion Marianne Keaton of Russellville, Kentucky; Leigh Ann Smith, McKenna Smith, Langston Smith and Bryan Rankin. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Graveside service is scheduled to be conducted on Friday at 11:00 at the Berea Christian Church Cemetery in Russellville with Rev. Stan Williams officiating.
Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) there will be limited capacity. It is required that if you attend the visitation or service that you wear a mask and refrain from shaking hands and hugging as well as social distancing and keeping six feet apart.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in James’ memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
