James Welborne Obituary

James Welborne, age 76 of Guthrie, passed away on Sunday, September 13th at Creekwood Place in Russellville of natural causes.

 

He was born August 23, 1944 in Drakesboro, Kentucky the son of the late A.D. Nelson and Margaret Welborne Moore.

 

He was a farmer and retired from Paul Young’s farm where he worked for more than 30 years. He loved his family, mechanical work, hunting, camping and being outdoors.

 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son James Dale Welborne and two brothers Robert Earl and Charles Douglas Moore. He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years Betty Sue Welborne of Guthrie; three sons Ronnie Gene Welborne (Misty) of Guthrie; Timmy Lee Welborne (Lisa) of Adams, Tennessee and Jeffery Eugene Welborne (Kim) of Clarksville, Tennessee; a sister Sheila Ann Thompson (Travis) of Russellville; seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday from 3:00 until Memorial Service time at 5:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Pastor G.C. Morrow officiating.

 

Due to the Coronavirus (Covid19) there will be limited capacity. It is required that if you attend the visitation or service that you wear a mask and refrain from shaking hands and hugging as well as social distancing and keeping six feet apart.
