John "J.R." Comperry Obituary

The Todd County Funeral Home of Elkton is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. John R. “J.R.” Comperry.

Mr. John R. “J.R." Comperry, age 86 of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, November 28^th at the Clarksville Nursing and Rehab in Clarksville of natural causes.

He was born August 4, 1936 in Clarksville, Tennessee the son of the late Marvin and Grace Geneva Shelton Comperry.

He was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church, he was retired as a Rural Letter Carrier, he loved his family especially his great grandchildren and enjoyed doing puzzles and story telling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Comperry (2022) and a brother, Wendell Comperry. He is survived by one son, John Howard “Howie” Comperry (Diane) of Clarksville; two sisters, Jean White (Howard) and Ann Hill (Wayne) both of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

It was the wish of Mr. Comperry to be cremated. There will be a graveside service held in Pulaski, Tennessee at a later date.
