Doris Springer

Mrs. Doris Springer, age 71 of Elkton, passed away on Friday evening, April 21, 2017 at the Baptist Health in Madisonville, Kentucky of natural causes.

She was born June 27, 1945 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Leslie and Lydia Porter Scott.  She was a member of the Elkton Christian Church and she loved her family, reading and the outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as one brother Danny Scott.  She is survived by two sons Patrick Springer (Morgan) and Joseph Springer, Jr. all of Elkton; two daughters Dana Hendricks of Elkton and Saundra Bryan (Travis) of Russellville; two brothers Jimmy Murphy of Elkton and Norman Scott of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; two sisters Jean Castle of Guthrie and Dorothy Shemwell of Clarksville, Tennessee.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Springer family will be on Tuesday from 12:00 until funeral service time at 2:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Bryan officiating.  Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie, Kentucky.
