Mrs. Dorothy Deason, age 78 of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday afternoon January 15th at her home of natural causes.
She was born June 10, 1936 in Todd County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jesse James and Katie Bateman Newcomb. She was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and card playing.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by four sons David (Beth), Mark (Sherry) and Hershel Deason all of Clarksville, Tennessee and Terry Deason (Val) of Indiana; five daughters Brenda Sykes (Billy) of Adams, Tennessee, Rebecca Johnson (Donnie), Shela Harrison (Randy) and Emily Deien all of Clarksville and Patricia Johnson (Phil) of Keysburg, Kentucky. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation with the Deason family will be on Sunday evening from 3:00 until 8:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Monday afternoon at 1:00 in the chapel of the Cook-Webb Funeral Home with Chris Edmondson and Frankie Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Trenton.
