Dorothy "Anne" Marshall

Mrs. Dorothy “Anne” Marshall, age 84 of Guthrie, passed away on Saturday morning, February 25, 2017 at the Dogwood Bend Assisted Living in Clarksville, Tennessee of natural causes.

She was born April 10, 1932 in Adams, Tennessee the daughter of the late Wallace W. and Ella M. Scott Scruggs.  She retired in 1992 as Supervisory Budget Analyst Directorate of Engineering and Housing at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  She was a member of the Guthrie Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher for many years.  She was an avid reader and loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband Albert S. Marshall Jr.; one son Richard D. Marshall and one grandson Taylor Webster.  She is survived by two sons Scott Marshall of Guthrie and Joseph Shepherd of Miami, Florida.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation with the Marshall family will be on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home.  Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Thursday morning at 10:00 at the Guthrie Baptist Church with Reverends Dave Brown and Stephen Childers officiating.  Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be given to the Guthrie Partners for Main Street or the Guthrie Baptist Church.
